SecureState is actively seeking a Security Engineer to work on client engagements. The consultant in this position will apply knowledge of general business and technical issues to assist clients. They will learn SecureState’s methodologies and be able to apply them while learning new industry techniques and standards. The consultant will work within all four of SecureState’s groups: Profiling, Audit and Compliance, Risk Management, and Forensic Technology.
Responsibilities
- Participate in client kick-off meetings, internal meetings and training as required
- Complete project work accurately and within deadlines as required
- Work with SecureState manager to understand project plans and scope for assigned role on engagement
- Communicate and help resolve engagement issues with SecureState manager
- Assist in preparing client reports and internal status updates
- Communicate with project team and keep project information up to date
- Prepare and conduct meetings with clients and peers to ensure project requirements are completed and your portion of the engagement is fully delivered
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with clients and other team members
- Present work to upper management for review
- Participate in identifying additional business opportunities by identifying client issues and problems
- Gain thorough knowledge of and be able to explain SecureState offerings
Required Qualifications:
- At minimum an Associate’s Degree, preferably a Bachelor’s Degree, in Computer Sciences or related discipline
- 5 years experience in network and host security architecture and implementation
- Thorough documentation capabilities
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to cross train and educate clients
- Working knowledge of NIST guidelines
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment with high client expectations
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. SecureState is unable to sponsor at this time
Technical Skill Set:
- Protocol knowledge of TCP/IP, SMTP, HTTP, FTP, DNS
- Cisco PIX ASA Firewalls
- VPN technology protocols
- Two-factor authentication
- Network Host Intrusion Detection/Prevention System implementation
- Microsoft Active Directory
- RADIUS TACACS+
- Network and Host Security Hardening
