SecureState is seeking a Junior Network Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for providing first level support to all end users through an internal ticket system while also servicing a range of equipment from servers to networks.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues.
- Complete project work accurately and timely as required.
- Work with manager to understand systems.
- Communicate and help resolve technical issues with manager.
- Fix software and voice/data communication systems issues.
- Communicate with team technical errors and updates.
- Follow up with tickets in a timely manner.
- Follow through with tickets to resolution.
- Escalate calls when appropriate.
Required Qualifications:
- 2 years prior customer service experience.
- Call center or help desk support experience.
- Computer proficiency with hardware and software technologies.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Unable to sponsor at this time.
- Requires sufficient analytical skills to assess problems or unusual situations and develop solutions.
- Strong technical knowledge of PCs and Servers, Windows OS.
- Strong technical knowledge of networking protocols including TCP/IP
Desired Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Be willing to work flexible hours when appropriate.
- The ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work under pressure.
- Be able to communicate technical issues/resolutions to non-technical users.
- Experience using a ticket system.
- Experience writing technical support documentation.
- Knowledge of Mac OS
